Agar's Brewery opened its doors last year and already host an impressive range of craft beer. I'm a particular fan of their English Special Bitter.
Their American Pale Ale is not as hoppy as one would expect from such a beer style but it leaves a subtle bitterness that will make you come back for more if you enjoy that type of thing. I know I certainly do. The beer has a pale amber appearance and forms a nice two-finger head when poured. I would classify this as a lighter tasting American Pale Ale that's mild in style compared to other APAs on the shelf.
As much as what I love some of Agar's other beers, this one is not as memorable as their Jozi Blonde, Red Ale, or their English Special Bitter. If you're not a hop head but love exploring beer styles, this one will offer you just what you need from an APA.
